The gemstones are cut in a diamond shape with lovely faceting for sparkle. This stone is the lightest shade of soft green, very neutral. Prasiolite is mostly created by heating natural purple amethyst at high temperatures to produce a the green color that will not fade. This can be a fun alternative February birthstone choice for those who don't like the traditional purple amethyst.

14kt gold filled is a layer of solid 14kt gold (gold alloy) bonded to a jeweler's brass core.
